"Researchers Analyze 3,200 Unique Phishing Kits"

Though actions against most phishing sites are quickly executed once they are detected, the impact of such malicious sites could still be extensive enough to satisfy the phisher in the short length of time that they are active. Attackers often exert very little effort behind the launch of phishing attacks as compromised sites, email accounts, and phishing kits have been made easily accessible. Security researchers have conducted an analysis on 3,200 unique phishing kits to discover how they are obtained, along with who is creating and using these kits. This article further discusses what was discovered by researchers in the analysis of phishing kits and the rise of HTTPS phishing pages.
